Private Instrumental/Vocal Instruction

Need help deciding method? 

Traditional Method
  • Students learn to read musical notation from the beginning
  • Appropriate for students ages 6 and older (exact age depends on the instrument)
  • Perfect for adult students and older teens
  • Follows a curriculum; repertoire can be tailored to meet student’s interests
Suzuki Method
  • Students begin learning by ear and progress to reading music notation
  • Appropriate for pre-readers and older children
  • Significant involvement by parents; observation of lessons before enrolling may be required
  • Private lessons are complemented by group classes

Currently, our Suzuki Piano program is full and has an extensive waitlist. We have no openings for the 2022-2023 school year. In the meantime, our First Music program is geared towards young learners and offers an excellent introduction to music education that prepares students for private lesson studies. Students who are older than 7 years old may pursue our traditional piano program for private lessons.

Currently, our Suzuki Strings program is full. We encourage new families to observe a lesson with our faculty to see if the program fits your child's interests. In the meantime, our First Music program is geared towards young learners and offers an excellent introduction to music education that prepares students for private lesson studies. Students who are older than 7 years old may pursue our traditional strings program for private lessons.
